"He was born at Royalton, Vt., Oct. 5, 1847, and graduated from the University of Vermont, 1871. He practised law at Providence, R.I., 1873-7; and later at Rochester,Vt., Middlebury and Burlington. He was State's Attorney, 1890-92."
