Benjamin Whitwell

Massachusetts & Maine

Benjamin Whitwell was born in Boston and graduated from Harvard in 1790. He was admitted to the Suffolk Bar in 1793, and settled in Augusta, Maine. He returned to Boston in 1820. He delivered a poem before the Phi Beta Kappa Society at Cambridge, entitled "Folly as It Flies."
