Edwin Zimmerman was a Washington, D.C. lawyer. He served as a Supreme Court clerk to Justice Stanley Reed, and was a Professor of Law at Stanford Law School, an Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, and after 1969, practiced law at Covington & Burlington in Washington, D.C. His poems were published in Partisan Review and in a collection titled, A Piercing Happiness (Edwin M. Zimmerman, 2011) and a chapbook, At Truro (2012).
