"David G. Adee was born in Boston, Mass., in 1837. He was educated in the New York University, and in 1860 was admitted to the practice of law in New York city. In 1870 he traveled in Europe, Russsia, Norway and Sweden. On his return he again resided in New York, until 1876, when he removed to Washington, D.C."
