Strangers to Us All Lawyers and Poetry

Norman L. Brainerd

(1820-1877)
Connecticut

"Normal L. Brainerd was born in Portland. He studied law in Cambridge and in New York city, in which latter place he was engaged in practice. He afterward removed to Middletown. He was always a genial gentleman, winning the affections of those who knew him. He was a vigorous and versatile writer and a poet of no mean rank. He died at Middletown on the 30th of August 1877, in the 57th year of his age."
