Gustavo Brillembourg Gustavo Brillembourg "was born on Nevember 27th, 1957 in Caracas, Venezuela. He began writing poetry at Milton Academy where he was editor of the literary magazine Magus Mabus, and continued writing at Harvard College where he studied with Seamus Heaney. Later at Georgetown Law School, he edited and wrote for the Tax Review and published the book Venezuelan Law, Governig Restrictive Business Practices. The demanding life of a corporate tax lawyer at Davis, Polk and Wardwell in New York City did not diminish his energy and dedication for poetry, even if it meant writing late at night after coming home from the office. Gustavo died in a rock climing accident on Cathedral Rocks in Yosemite, California on September 28th, 1993."
