Vincent D. Calenda Calenda was born in Salerno, Italy on March 3, 1880. His father was Faffaello Calenda and his mother, Maria Teresa Lettefello. He came to the United States when he was eleven. He was a lawyer, poet, and lecturer. He served as Deputy Commissioner and Legal Advisor of the City of New York License Department, and chairman of the Speakers' Bureau of the Italian Institute of Culture in the United States.
