Philip Carrigan "Philip Carrigan was a son of Dr. Philip Carrigan. He was born in Concord, February 29, probably in 1772, and was graduated at Dartmouth College in 1794. He studied law and settled in his native town. In 1805, and the three years following, he was Secretary of State. He prepared a valuable map of the State, which was published in 1816. In 1806 he delivered a poem before the Phi Beta Kappa Society at Dartmouth College. he died in Concern, March 15, 1842."
