John Truman Edson

John Truman Edson, attorney and farmer, the son of Charles A. and Elizabeth (Barr) Edson, was born on April 25, 1873 at Wilton Center, Illinois. Edson was a longtime resident of Buena Vista County, Iowa. He attended Buena Vista College and received his LL.B. from the University of Iowa in 1899. Most of his career was devoted to banking and farming; he was not actively engaged in the practice of law. His poetry appears in the Yearbook of Contemporary Poetry (1937) and other periodicals and newspapers. He resided in Storm Lake, Iowa.
