Anne Marie Evans

Anne M. Evans was born at St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of J. Noble and Rebecca Howard (Woodson) Evans. She received her A.B. from Vassar College, and her LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from Burton College of Law. She was admitted to practice law in Missouri in 1913. She worked for the U.S. Department of Labor. Evans wrote lyrics and melodies for popular songs. At the time of the biographical sketch we have drawn upon here, she resided in University City, Missouri. Evans was a member of the St. Louis Bar.
