Walery J. Fronczak Walery J. Fronczak, the son of a Polish farmer, was an attorney for 47 years in Chicago. He came to the United States in 1912. He graduated from the Kent College of Law in 1922, practiced law for 44 years, and served for three years as counsel to the Polish National Alliance. He was also city editor for the Polish Daily Zgoda newspaper. Fronczak translated various literary works and published a collection of his poetry in 1920. He translated "The Star-Spangled Banner" into Polish.
