Daniel Irving Gross "Daniel Irving Gross attended Bowdoin College, Andover Theological Seminary, Harvard Law School and the University of Colorado. . . . He is a clergyman." [Edith Warren (ed.), Important American Poets 731 (New York: Valiant House, 1938)] Gross attended Harvard Law School from 1902 to 1904. We do not know if he ever practiced law, or had any intention to do so. He also attended Bowdoin in 1902, and was a student at the University of Colorado, 1898-99. Gross graduated from Andover Theological Seminary in 1908 and was ordained that same year. Gross was born at Orland, Maine, on Febuary 10, 1875.
