Sherman H. Makepeace

"Sherman H. Makepeace was born in Chesterfield, Ind., on Aug. 23, 1864, the son of Willard and Melvina Makepece. In 1894 he married Ida Charles and they had a son, Charles Willard. Makepeace was editor (1888-90) of the Anderson Weekly Herald and manufactured brooms for two years. He served as justice of the peace in two townships in Madison County. He had a law and real estate office in Anderson, and operated a farm. He died in 1945."
