"Niles, Henry Thayer (1829-Jan. 13, 1901), lawyer, born in West Fairlee, Vt., graduated from Dartmouth College, and after two years' travel in Europe came to Urbana, where he taught Latin and Greek in Urbana College. He read law while in Urbana, was admitted to the bar, and practiced there and in Toledo."
