Lyman Walter Seelye Lyman Seelye was was an educator and an attorney. He was born at Covington, Pennsylvania, on January 7, 1852, the son of Merrick C. and Hannak K. (Frost) Seelye. He attended the State Normal School at Mankato, Minnesota. He spent some time as a publisher and editor of a newspaper. He was also the author of short stories. He lived, as of 1938, at Bellingham, Washington.
