Emmett Shelton, Sr.
Emmett Shelton was a land developer, poet, storyteller, and lawyer. He practiced law in Austin, Texas and was active in state and national politics. Shelton was the original developer of West Lake Hills, west of Austin. Shelton was born in 1905, and graduated in 1925 from Texas State University-San Marcos.
