Thomas Soybel Thomas Soybel was a lawyer and author of children's verse. He was born in New York City and lived on West End Avenue while he was growing up. He obtained his BA degree at Williams College in 1979 and his JD at Boston University in 1982. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in Mahnattan, worked at Proskauer, Rose, Goetz, and Mendelbaum, and then as an attorney for Dartmouth College. An illness forced his retirement in 1994.
