James Owen Tryon
James Owen Tryon was born September 16, 1879 in Athens, New York. He graduated from Williams College in 1900, and then obtained his LL.D. degree from New York Law School in 1903). He practiced law in New York from 1903 to 1926. During World War I, he served as Field Director and Major for the American Red Cross and was in charge of the debarkation hospital on Staten Island. Tryon died on November 7, 1952. Tryon's writings include poetry, nonfiction, fiction, and a play.
