Florence Meigs Beebe

Florence Beebe was born at Swanton, Vermont and educated in Vermont schools. Her parents were Andrew Jackson Beebe and Addie Louise (Marvin) Beebe. She received her Bachelors of Philosophy from the University of Vermont and her LL. B. from Portia Law School in Boston. Her poetry appears in Paebar (1937), Margaret Nelson (ed.), Yearbook of Contemporary Poetry, 1937 (New York: Avon House, 1937), and Outstanding American Poets of 1938 (New York: Literary Publications, 1938). She was a lawyer and a teacher.

Beebe was admitted to practice in 1933 and practicted in Swanton, Vermont from 1935 to 1970. ["First 100" Festivities"—Vermont Bar Association]
