John B. Gontrum John B. Gontrum's father, John F. Gontrum, was a lawyer and a poet. John B., was born in Maryland in 1890. He was a lawyer and served as chief judge of the Third Judicial District in Maryland for many years. He wrote occasional poems and verses throughout his life. [Source: John F.
